My name is Nakibirango Saudah and I am founder of Feel Loved Charity Organization. I was born and raised in Uganda (Mukono District) and am now a permanent resident in the United States of America.
Growing up in a poor country, community, and family, I did not have the best of life's basic needs. I remember eating cassava flour porridge for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. My parents looked for bursaries/scholarships for me and my sister to go to school and they sold everything to raise us. I studied on scholarships, with a lot of help from people who saw good in me, which I didn't take for granted at all.
Our communities lacked schools, healthcare, water, shelter, and food. Because of this, I always wished to open a non-profit to bring basic needs to these communities in order to help those who are less fortunate than I.
In the United States, 30% of the nation's homeless population is in California. This is about 1,720,000 homeless people. Homelessness is a result of a lack of affordable housing, unemployment, poverty, no wages, domestic violence, lack of affordable healthcare, lack of mental health and addiction treatment services. These factors in addition to natural disasters such as wildfires and floods compound the problem. These same factors result in excessive extreme poverty in east African countries with about 45% of citizens living on less than $1.90 a day - thus lacking life's basic needs.
Feel Loved Charity Organization is a tax-deductible organization under the IRS in the USA.
Our mission is to
• spread courage
• teach and instill life skills through love, kindness, and support (without discrimination) to all humankind
• ship supplies to the neediest communities in underdeveloped countries.
Our main programs will include
• building homeless shelters where homeless individuals can come take a good bath and have a peaceful sleep
• open front stores where we collect tangible and intangible donations that we can send to the neediest and under developed communities in east Africa and the United States.
Please partner, give, and support with us on this life changing journey. We cannot do it without you!
